Bouldering in Ticino
Ticino is one of the best bouldering destinations in Europe, with a well-equipped indoor gym just minutes from the hotel and some of the continent's most famous outdoor boulder fields a short drive away.
Indoor gym: CHF 40.- key deposit, entry fee per visit or annual pass. Outdoor bouldering: free access.

Half day to full day
Indoor: year-round. Outdoor: spring and autumn are best, with winter favoured by experienced climbers for better grip.
How to get there
Indoor Boulder Riazzino
A short train or car ride from the hotel to Riazzino. The gym is open every day, pick up the access key at the Gold Café Riazzino (Via al Pizzante 9) against a CHF 40 deposit, to be returned after your session.
Outdoor spots: Cresciano & Chironico
Cresciano and Chironico, both around 30-40 minutes from Locarno by car, are among the most famous granite bouldering areas in the world, alongside spots on the Gotthard Pass and in the Verzasca Valley. Bring your own crash pad or rent one locally.
